ST JOHN, VIRGIN ISLANDS The trip to St John was calm and beautiful.
Homes reminiscent of old time houses with large shutters that were pulled in and barred against hurricanes stood along the shoreline of Cruz Bay.
Fresh island producemangoes, soursop, sugar apple, plantains, coconut, lemongrass, papaya and pineappletempt one at stands along the way.
Eighty percent of St John is national park. Exquisite beaches line the north side of the Island. At Cinnamon Bay, Amelia photographed this mother and daughter.
As the ship set sail that evening, out on their balcony, the ladies watched as the golden sunset cast its path across the water.
